Once again, I find myself delving deep into the archives of my primary blog and seeing if there is anything I could expand upon.
I bet those of you who are still new to the sport of hockey didn't hear of an injury of goaltender Robbie Tallas who was working in the minor leagues for the Dallas Stars affiliate Utah Grizzlies.
It seemed that an injury occurred when a little bit of shaved ice from the skate of one of the teams had flown up to meet Mr. Tallas in the face. It is highly unlikely that a little bit of frozen water could harm an eye, but according to the report it is true.
I would like to believe that what really happened is that the snow caused temporary blindness and without thinking, Tallas had rubbed his eye with his glove still on. That would cause a cornea scratch more than a little snowflake.
