Goalie Masks

Sometimes they can be really scary and sometimes they can seem like a great work of art, but the goalie mask has worked it's way into pop culture. I have really started collecting images as to which ones I like the best. The best one that I have seen used in the NHL was by a guy named John Grahame who was a goaltender for the Carolina Hurricanes last season and for the Tampa Bay Lightning the year before.

He had employed surely enough one of his favorite "things" on his hockey mask - women! Yup, some artist had rendered him some women to look sexy on his mask. Yet the mistery remains as to why nobody or no women's group had made a big stink of it. Maybe somebody had to think it was sexist. I have seen worse though, there is this one page that made an XXX-mas mask with a young lady Santa helper who was apparently looking very naughty.

I would have gone the more noble route and had some artistic rendering of St. Michael the Archangel going into battle and casting out Lucifer on a hockey mask. That would be both impressive and intimidating, I think.
