Greatest Game Memory #4

[Note: With many thanks to one of the only few cool people in Philadelphia I will now use up some of the time with some memories of my top 4 games of all time. Mission Accepted. But I will count down and reveal them gradually.]

The 4th greatest game memory is not an NHL name. It is not even an AHL (or any other minor league game for that matter). It is actually a tie as I would have to lump these two together in order to talk about them before the thon is over.

The day that I was given the opportunity as a color analyst for Penn State's club hockey team is one memory I will certainly never forget. From high above rink side, I watched and did my best to help share the game experience as the Penn State icers as they played Towson university. And as an added bonus, I was able to recognize the then coach of the WBS Penguins, Glen Patrick, and do a shoot interview with him after the game. I wrote about my experience way back when and was even able to get a copy of that very interview.

The other game ranked 4th is the day I was working as the Penn State womens ice hockey team's PA announcer and PR director. I had my work cut out for me one night that I had witnessed a bench clearing brawl between the heated rivalry of PSU vs. Buffalo U. That's right. A fight that cleared both benches. At the time it was funny, but it brought a lot of disgrace on the program.

some of the best games are the ones that have nothing really at stake but pride
