Why it is worth the time..

Speaking of motivation,....

Did you ever wonder why there were terms "hockey mom" and "hockey dad"? Well, there is a website to help you better understand the efforts made jointly by Hockey Canada and USA Hockey to create a system to better prepare parents as well as children to learn the game of hockey by instilling the very good foundations it teaches.

OneGoal.com is a great tool for looking up and sharing those moments with others. It also stresses opportunities for gender equality, which is certainly a good thing, in most respects. Why dont I just let them give you their mission statement straight from their website.
OneGoal is a newly formed nonprofit organization comprised of a coalition of USA Hockey, Hockey Canada, International Hockey Industry Association, National Hockey League (NHL), the NHL Players Association, rinks, equipment manufacturers, retailers, and many others across North America who are involved with hockey. The "one goal" of this group is to build greater awareness and understanding of youth hockey so parents can make informed decisions about involving their families in the sport. For many of us who didn't grow up with the game, OneGoal makes it easier and less intimidating to join in on everything that hockey has to offer.
