Hockey Heroes

Okay, this one is going to have to be short because of all the time that I lost rebooting my computer at midnight. I hope I didn't lose any of you and I certainly intend to do this until the very end.

So, now, I will list my favorite hockey personalities in no particular order.

  • Don Cherry - the guy who hosts CBC's Coach's Corner on Hockey Night in Canada is loud, boisterous, full of opinions, and most certainly not afraid to voice his opinions if they are right or wrong.
  • Sid Crosby - Well. because he is a great player and a stand up kinda kid. He even played the playoffs with a broken foot and never bothered to tell anybody. That is courage and guts from a 19 year old kid in a man's league.
  • Mario Lemieux - He is a hero for the constant examples of courage and leadership.
  • Manon Rheaume - She is known as "the first lady of hockey" because she was the first lady to play in a NHL pre-season game. She showed me to never give up your dreams. Ever.
  • Mike Lange - He is not only the voice of the Penguins, but he is the true voice of hockey. Sure, not a whole lot of people have been exposed to him yet, but surely once you hear him call a game... it is never really the same without him.
  • Marian Gaborik - This young Slovak player is considered the next generation of great european/Slovak players. He is really exciting to watch.
