24 Hour Video Game Marathon for Lemieux Foundation

I am certainly no stranger for charity marathons, having supported two of them. This marathon is certainly something that I would like to have come up with, but someone else beat me to it.

Imagine loafing around playing your favorite video games for 24 hours straight. It's just about every young pre-teen nerdy boy's dream. And in this case, a marathon of playing video games will hopefully bing about some good some needy children who need time to recover from hospital stays. The money raised will help build a video game room for Children's Hospital for those juvenile patients recover from treatments.

You're probably wondering why I am telling you about this project. It's supported under the umbrella of the Mario Lemieux Foundation. So, at the link at the bottom of this blog post is where you can donate to the efforts via PayPal.

As one of the most fan-friendly organizations in North America, the Pittsburgh Penguins have once again come up with an idea to celebrate and combine the deep love the city of Pittsburgh has for hockey, charity, and the new state of the art mega civic facility known as the Consol Energy Center.

As it has been just introduced this morning, the Mario Lemieux Foundation has decided to collect more needed funding for cancer charity research and allowing the Penguins fans to participate in a mural wall showing their Penguins pride.

For a modest yet poignant $66 dollars, you can purchase your spot in the Consol Energy Center showing off your Penguins pride in a picture that will make some sort of mural - most likely looking like one of the photos to the upper left hand corner of this blog.
