Defending the Blueline Gives Military Families Opportunities

In a time when our North American freedoms need protecting more than ever, an often neglected faction of our society goes under-appreciated. Those are the hard-working American families of our armed forces. A Minnesota group hopes to change that for the better as they work to raise awareness for military families in need by providing them with the necessary hockey equipment and other needs. From their mission statement:
Defending the Blue Line is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization created by soldiers with the spirit of keeping hockey alive for the children of our nations military heroes.

Our mission at Defending The Blue Line (DTBL) is ensuring that children of military members are afforded every opportunity to participate in the game of hockey. We accomplish this by providing free equipment for military kids, hockey camps, special events, and financial assistance for registration fees and other costs associated with hockey.
This is a really worthy cause that I hope gets more and more recognition. We need to honor those who make the sacrifice of a stable family so that we all can enjoy the comforts of a free country. I couldn't do this blog without them and their true courage.
