NaNoWriMo 2010 Begins

November is an important month for writers. Every year, the internet community of writers host a marathon event called "National Novel Writing Month". It's purpose is to focus writers on the challenge of writing and completing a novel in one month's time. The goal is to reach 50,000 words before the stroke of midnight on December 1. You can read the brief FAQ here explaining the event in their own words.

Since Blogathon 2010 was canceled, I have wanted to participate in a writing challenge that perhaps pulled me out of my own creative funk and was also successful at restoring the self-confidence that I need to be able to take my own unique writing skill to the next level. I have not yet thought about what I am going to write about, but it's going to come from something that I know to be worth reading and spending time on.

I know that this doesn't quite constitute as a charity, but it does create quite the interest and public supported enthusiasm that I have seen in many non-profit charity events. Please consider supporting all the authors at work on the NaNoWriMo 2010 event as well as my own efforts to write this month.
