Quality Over Quantity?

Here is a thought. Just one.

What exactly is a standard blog post (especially a post included in blogathon?) as the terms of quality? Does a blog post count if it means just writing a few silly little lines? We appreciate the update of your hygiene or what you ate or your current state of attire, but if you don't elaborate on those thoughts, is it a quality post?

Is this even a quality post? I mean... the struggle to make sure that people are caught up with things for a blog post every half hour is task enough, but what about quality though. My usual blog is full of journalism and quality. I try to blog about stuff I know. I write about hockey so I don't necessarily have to write and talk about my personal life.

Why do people seem so self important and insist on blogging about the mundane things in their lives?

I totally agree but sometimes it's not very easy being interesting 48 times in 24 hours. I have managed to be original and hopefully interesting so far though. No mention of what I've eaten or how much coffee I've had already.

If I do, I'll try to post about something of substance in the same post.
