Cheaters!

Okay.. now I am starting to get a little upset. I am sitting here prepared to do this Blogathon 2007 the right way and apparently, I am catching a few cheaters. Maybe I should sign up to be a blogathon monitor next year. I am not going to call them all out because they are all still helping raising money, but in the spirit of the contest, I have to rally against what I am seeing now.

  1. If you run your blog by yourself, then you blog the straight 24 hours. Don't hand it off to a friend to blog for you while you do other things. That is cheating. If you are missing some posts, then what is the point to making the sacrifice?
  2. Don't go off and put in a few lines transcribed by voice blogging over a cell phone. That is also cheating. You shouldn't be doing other things and just on a whim post a couple sentences of odd updates. Again you are cheating the people who are stuck in front of a computer.
  3. Don't just make up 24 wordpress templates. That isn't blogging. Sure it is done for a good cause, but it simply doesn't mean that you are blogging. Anybody could just throw up some random pictures to fill the background theme for a blog. Too easy.
  4. What is also not fair is the absolutely stupid efforts by some bloggers and their causes. I am starting to see a lot of causes that I don't agree with. When will we see pro-terrorist blogathons?

Okay, I just had to get that off my chest.

There is a Blogger on Blogathon for Pagans. Seriously.

Nothing against them personally, but it is not like they are opressed and put into camps or anything.
