So... what is really in store for the NHL hockey season this fall/winter? Only the deepest prognosticator could accurately predict what may or may not be expected to be seen.

Should Crosby again dominate the scoring race now that he is officially the captain is he going to silence a lot of his critics? It is doubtful about the critics part. Haters will always be haters.

The San Jose Sharks are hopefully rebound back into form and make sure that they don't run out of gas at the end of the year like they did last season. There were reports out of California that Marleau was mad at the coach for publicly calling out the team star players.

Another aspect of this coming hockey season is what kind of reaction will the hockey players and fans have with the new Rebok-styled jerseys. They are really messing with tradition, but still have the athletes performance in mind. I don't know why they have tried to change up the look of the jersey colors too.
